We got a box of pastries including a pound cake, croissants, and a scone. We loved each of them and will be coming back when the weather is better and we’re not walking back with a soggy rain-laden box. Looking forward to trying some breakfast options as well.
I don't think I've ever written a review when it comes to food let alone customer service. Anyhow, I was in the neighborhood and had an amazing breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee at a food cart up the street called Sunrise Co., and I highly encourage You to go. As I was heading down Division St., I saw Little T's, a place I've wanted to pop into many times over the years living here. I didn't realize they closed at two p.m., but it was nearly 30 minutes to 2 p.m., and I was greeted with the most rude and unhappy looking workers ever. Honestly, ever! The cashier looked irritated and had a very impatient vibe about him. I'm sensitive this behavior and can pick up on other's vibes easily. The other two workers standing behind the counter, where what pastries were left out just stood there, staring at me and didn't say a word. It was so awkward for me. If it wasn't for my kind heart, I would've brought it to their attention and left. While I was deciding what to grab, I noticed many fruit flies, landing, jumping from goodie to goodie. All I could think about is "how could these employees' not see this happening?" It's not what I was hoping to see for a first time customer or ever really; however, I purchased a cookie and a slice of ginger bread. For what was bad service and food that I had to toss (I couldn't bring myself to take a bite), that cost me $12.00 plus and a non deserved 20% tip, I left there nearly $15 bucks thrown away and a place I'll never return to.
1. I don’t know why the last two reviewers are professional bridge trolls but this place is 12/10
2. It’s so good. I hate that this is too close to me and therefore I go there and then my pants struggle to fit.
3. You should go here, other people go here because it’s legit, you will wait in line. Get over it.
Holy magnolia! I have been so disappointed by Portland croissants since I was ruined by Paris (yes—I know how that sounds). But Little t American Baker has finally renewed my faith. The stretchy, creamy, buttery layers—😍😍😍. And with the complement of an absolutely perfect little dry cappuccino to go with? Wow. I got a kouign-amann, a pistachio bear paw, and a triple cheese grilled cheese. Every item blew my poor little mind. I’m not sure if any of them will survive the day 👀 Lovely staff. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Next time I’ll have to buy a loaf of bread, too. The whole place is understated. Instant obsession.
It's the best baguette and croissant in town. The staff is so friendly as well! Get there early because they can run out of popular items and sometimes there is a line, but it's always quick and definitely worth it!
I have wanted to try this
bakery for some time and
was a little disappointed.
Little T has a nice choice
of pastries, breads, cookies and muffins with a lunch menu.
I selected a coconut scone,
a cinnamon apple Danish,
a chocolate chip cookie and
a fruit and bran muffin.
The Danish was a little
overbaked, which made
it a little crunchy.
The bottom of the Danish
started to flak off as I
picked it up.
The coconut scone was
covered in icing, which
made it sweet.
The fruit and bran muffin
was moist and had an
interesting taste to it.
Little T has a lunch menu
with sandwichs, salads, and
quiches.
The bakery is well known
for its baguettes and
bread.
Located on the the corner
is SE Division and SE 26th
in Portland.
Parking is limited to the
side streets.
Currently offering takeout
only.
Little T is well known for
it's breads, but the pastries
were a little disappointing.
Lovely variety of baked goods, with a focus on breads. We had a croissant and crumb cake, which were both quality. That said, the insistence on single use coffee cups was disappointing and antithetical in an environmentally conscious place like Portland. Having a cup and saucer, although a small thing, enriches the experience and is an easy way to reduce waste.
It used to be the best baguette in town but since they changed their recipe (flour change?) the baguette isn't the same. It loses its crisp faster, is denser and just not as tasty.
I hope they change the recipe back. It's hard to justify the hefty price tag anymore.
